New and refreshed EASST website aims to inspire positive action for road safety and sustainable transport

EASST launches new mobile and user-friendly website promoting safe and sustainable transport across Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

EASST is an independent UK-registered charity whose mission is to save lives and prevent injuries by making road transport safer, greener and more sustainable for future generations.

Road crashes are the leading cause of death for young people in every world region, and globally account for more fatalities than diseases such as malaria. While, air pollution, a consequence of heavy congestion and a reliance on motorised transport, leads to millions of premature deaths every year. In the 14 countries where EASST works, road deaths and injuries are having a profound and devastating impact on both social and economic development.

The new EASST website will help you keep up to date EASST’s vibrant and effective alliance of road safety NGOs across Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia. Through the ‘Where we work’ section, you can learn about the unique road safety challenges facing each country and follow how each local partner is working to make a positive change and save lives.

EASST’s work is guided by real-life experience and expertise, using and building local capacity to ensure projects are more effective and sustainable. The new website shows this off through with an easy-to-navigate catalogue of road safety projects and news which is searchable by theme and/or country.

One of EASST’s core values is based on the belief that successful road safety policies require a concerted effort across boundaries. As such, the new site has been designed so that partners, supporters and anyone else with an interest in taking positive action to improve road safety and sustainable transport can find out about EASST’s work and inspire them to get involved.

The library of key road safety resources and case studies is updated regularly and available for free for anyone interested in saving lives and promoting good road safety in their country or region.

Not to mention, the whole site is accessible and mobile-device friendly so you can follow EASST whenever and wherever you are.
